AFTER Congress: see you on 11 & 12 November

After 4 years of active research to improve the transformation processes of the 10 selected food products as part of the project, AFTER organise from 11 to 12 November 2014 in Dakar the 1st Congress on traditional African foods.

The Higher Polytechnic School (ESP) and the AFTER project are organising, from 11 to 12 November 2014 in Dakar, the 1st Congress on traditional African foods, with the theme “Promoting traditional African foods: innovations, quality and market access”.

With the objective to raise awareness of the recent research and development results on traditional African foods, this congress is an opportunity to create an international synergy to explore in light of innovative technologies the pathways and means of improving food quality and to promote their market access.

The exchanges and the debates will be structured around four main sessions:

  • Enhancing traditional processes for improved food security and safety
  • New forms of traditional foods and innovative technologies
  • Sensorial quality of foods and consumer appreciation
  • Intellectual property and market access for new products
